About Us
The Nuts & Oil Crops Directorate is a directorate within the Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) established under the Agriculture and Food Authority Act of 2013. The Directorate plays a crucial role in promoting the development of the Nuts & Oil Crops sub-sector in Kenya and ensuring that it remains a vital contributor to the country's economy. The Directorate is responsible for regulating as well as implementing policies and strategies to enhance the production, processing, and marketing of Nuts & Oil Crops. The Nuts & Oil Crops Directorate works closely with other Government agencies, dealers, farmers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the sub-sector in Kenya operates efficiently and sustainably.
